[HSP] No.2|Protection Mist
Being around certain people leaves you strangely drained. That fatigue might not even be yours.
Taking care of your inner world can be as simple a habit as brushing your teeth or washing your face. Every day, we take in invisible stimuli and influences. HSPs in particular have highly sensitive antennae for other people's emotions and changes in the world around them — which makes it easier for the line between themselves and everything outside to blur.
- Feeling completely drained after being in a crowd
- Feeling strangely exhausted after spending time with certain people
- Taking on other people's emotions as if they were your own
This can be a sign you're taking in too much of what's around you, unfiltered.
No.2|Protection is a scent that gently redraws the boundary between you and the outside world, helping you hold on to the outline of your true self. It's also recommended for HSCs (highly sensitive children), who can be especially affected by the stimulation of school life.
A Sense of Flexible Protection
Rather than shutting yourself off, Protection's scent guides you toward a state where you can take in only what you need and quietly let go of the rest. It supports the balance of staying connected — without losing yourself in the process.
Boundary Care While You Sleep
Some people find that they're especially unguarded while asleep, and more likely to pick up on stimuli and presences around them.
💡 Self-Care Idea: Salt Bottle
Fill a small glass bottle with Himalayan rock salt and add 3–5 drops of the Protection essential oil. Simply place it by your bedside for an easy form of care. (View the oil version)
Why This Blend
You might think, "If I want to protect my boundaries, I should just be more on guard." But it actually works the other way — if you become too deeply settled, the very ability to tell "is this my feeling, or theirs?" starts to dull.
That's why No.2 Protection deliberately combines calming and clarifying in equal measure. Lavender and Scots Pine (Grove Den) prevent overreaction, while Juniper Berry — traditionally burned as an incense to ward off evil — provides the foundation. On top of that, Bay Laurel (historically worn as a "victor's crown"), bright Lemon, and Rosemary, associated with memory and alertness, add the role of keeping the mind clear.
How to Use: Creating Your Own "Safe Zone"
- Adjust your boundary with a spray: Mist around your feet and waist, and imagine a quiet sense of protection rising up from your lower body.
- Adjust the boundary of a space: Mist the corners and walls of a room to turn the whole space into somewhere you feel safe.
- For a more thorough ritual: You can also use it in a foot bath (Himalayan salt + base oil + 5–8 drops), or with an aroma stone or diffuser.
