[Space] No.18|Field Reset Mist
"Something about that place just wears me out."
That might not be your imagination.
A certain room feels heavy. You can't concentrate in that one seat. Your new home just won't settle, no matter how long you've lived there. Have you ever noticed your mind and body shifting depending on where you are, with no clear reason why? No.18|Field Reset was created as a space-care blend for anyone who notices the effect of a place's atmosphere.
What Is Geopathic Stress?
This phenomenon is called "geopathic stress" — environmental stress thought to originate from the ground itself. The idea is that things like underground water veins, disruptions in rock strata, or electromagnetic environmental factors may concentrate in certain locations and affect the people who spend time there. Rather than a spiritual concept, it's better understood as one hypothesis attempting to explain, through environmental factors, the sense that "this one room is uniquely exhausting."
One of the reasons this idea spread was a 1929 study in Vilsbiburg, Germany. Researchers examined homes with unusually high cancer rates and found that all of them had been built directly above underground water veins, which drew attention to a possible link between housing and health. Since then, the concept has continued to be discussed in Europe within the context of complementary medicine and environmental health. (*This is not a medically proven theory — it remains a hypothesis.)
HSPs are said to be especially attuned to picking up on subtle environmental cues like these. "People tend to brush it off as your imagination, but you really do feel it" — Field Reset was created to sit with exactly that feeling.
Why This Blend
Atlas Cedar forms the foundation — a wood used since ancient Egypt in temple construction and ritual, with reports that inhaling its main component, cedrol, boosts parasympathetic nervous system activity. Patchouli deepens that weight further. Lemon, Eucalyptus, and Clove join in to take on the role of "clearing" the air itself. Eucalyptus's main component, 1,8-cineole, in particular, has been the subject of numerous studies related to ease of breathing.
Palo Santo finishes the blend — a wood long used in South America to clear a space, and one that's found its way into medical and care settings abroad. In Dutch care facilities, Palo Santo room sprays are sometimes used to reset a room after saying goodbye to someone important, trusted as a scent for "shifting the air of a space" even in moments beyond everyday life. Cananga and Blue Chamomile add warmth and softness on top.
Tips for Use: Creating a Space That Feels Right
- To shift the feel of a space: Mist anywhere in your home that feels "heavy" for no clear reason — by the entryway, or around your desk at work. You should feel the density of the air lighten almost immediately.
- For fatigue while out and about: Mist above your head and around your shoulders whenever you feel worn down somewhere away from home. It's an easy cue to reset your mood.
- After a move or rearranging a room: For the unsettled feeling before a new space starts to feel like your own.

Who This Is For
- Anyone who tends to feel drained in certain places, for no clear reason
- Anyone whose room feels unsettled after a move or rearrangement
- Anyone who wants to honor a sense of unease about a place's atmosphere, even when it's usually dismissed as "just in your head"
No.10|Clean Energy vs. No.18|Field Reset
This is often compared with No.10|Clean Energy, from the same space-care series, but the two address different kinds of "heaviness."
- No.10|Clean Energy: For temporary heaviness tied to an event — a crowd, having guests over. Ideal for clearing the air each time, like after getting home or after visitors leave. Think of it as a crisp reset, with the cooling notes of Juniper and Sage.
- No.18|Field Reset: For an ongoing unsettled feeling tied to a specific place itself — a just-moved-into room, or a seat you can't quite feel at ease in. It supports the time it takes to settle into that space. Think of it as a slow, deep settling-in, with the richness of Atlas Cedar and Palo Santo.
If you're not sure which to choose: go with No.10 for heaviness that follows people or events, and No.18 for unease tied to the place itself. Plenty of customers who feel both use No.10 after having guests over, and keep No.18 for a specific space like a bedroom or study.
