About the HSP Series

The HSP Series is a set of 9 aromas developed by De Groene Linde's founder, Marianne, for people with the trait of high sensory sensitivity (HSP: Highly Sensitive Person).

Marianne has lived as an HSP herself. Starting from experiences highly sensitive people know well — taking in too much, feeling drained, losing track of yourself — each blend was designed as an approach to one of these themes.

How to Choose

Choosing from the HSP Series works a little differently than choosing a regular aroma.

Don't go by "a nice scent" or "one you like."
Choose the one you feel most strongly, or can't quite explain why you notice.

A flutter of excitement, a flicker of unease, or a scent you just can't put down — whatever triggers that reaction is resonating with something you're working through right now.

It's fine if you're drawn to something and can't say why. The reason tends to become clear later.

Start With These Three: The Foundation

If you're not sure where to begin, we recommend starting with these three. Once they feel settled, the other six tend to come through more clearly.

No.1
Cleansing

Clears away energy and lingering feelings absorbed from the outside. A "cleanup" step before setting a boundary. For the end of the day, right after getting home, or whenever things feel heavy.

No.2
Protection

Makes you less susceptible to outside energy and other people's emotions. Like building a protective layer for when an HSP feels like they're taking in too much. For crowds or relationships that tend to leave you drained.

No.3
Grounding

Reconnects you with the earth and steadies you. For scattered thoughts, or when it's hard to feel present. Brings back the sense of being here, now.

All 9 Themes

No.4
Self Love

Kindness and acceptance toward yourself. For when self-blame won't stop, or you're being too hard on yourself.

No.5
Speak

Finding your own words and saying them out loud. For when you can't say what you want to, or you've lost sight of your own opinion.

No.6
Me I am

For when you don't know who you are anymore, or feel like you've lost yourself. A way back to self-recognition.

No.7
Pull in

For when you need to retreat inward. A scent for finding your way back to safety when the outside world has worn you out.

No.8
Mission

Reconnecting with your purpose and direction. For when it's hard to see what you're working toward.

No.9
Closure

Letting go, and moving forward. Support for when past events or feelings are keeping you from moving on.

About HSP

HSP describes a trait, a heightened sensitivity to stimulation. It is not an illness or a disorder. This series was designed to reframe that trait, not as a weakness, but as a sensitivity.
