How to Use Essential Oils
De Groene Linde's essential oils can be used in more ways than just as an aroma mist. Diffuser, aroma stone, aroma lamp — however you choose to fill a space with scent, the effect of the oil stays the same.
Choose whichever method suits your lifestyle and space.
Filling a Space
Diffuser
Add a few drops to water and disperse it ultrasonically. Good for filling an entire room with scent.
Aroma stone
Drip the oil onto an unglazed stone and let it diffuse slowly and naturally. Since no heat is involved, the oil's properties are less likely to change.
Aroma lamp or candle-style diffuser
A classic method that uses heat to lift the scent into the air, for a warmer way of experiencing it.
A Note on Applying Directly to Skin
In the Netherlands, De Groene Linde also sells massage oils, and applying the oil directly to skin is common there. This isn't a question of quality.
How FUUKA handles this
FUUKA imports its essential oils as general goods, not as cosmetics or quasi-drugs, so we don't recommend using them that way. Please enjoy them as a scent for your space rather than applying them directly to your skin.
This comes down to Japan's import regulations, not any issue with quality.
FUUKA's Favorite: Aroma Stickers
If you'd like to enjoy the scent without any extra tools like a diffuser, we especially recommend our aroma stickers, made in Japan.
Stick one onto your clothing, bag, phone, or bedding,
and carry the scent with you all day.
Made in Japan and tested for fragrance sensitivity, with everyone around you in mind. Popular with people who want something easy to wear at work or on public transit.
Try pairing it with a mist, too: a spritz in the morning to set the tone, then a sticker to carry you through the day — a rhythm you can make your own.
