Reporting on the Completed Import
All 18 aromas FUUKA currently carries have finally arrived in Japan.
Over these past few months, I've focused on the task right in front of me, clearing the unknown process of importing one step at a time.
Making a Path Where There Wasn't One
When I first started working with De Groene Linde in the Netherlands, their e-commerce system didn't even allow Japan to be selected as an address.
Now, "Japan" has officially been added as an option.
I'm deeply grateful for Linde's flexibility and cooperation in gladly accepting this system change.

Building Trust
People in the Netherlands value steady, sincere relationships.
Through this import process, I feel that my own style of payment and the speed of my responses gradually built up trust, bit by bit.
For payment, I used the international transfer service Wise.
It's a convenient service that keeps exchange fees low while allowing smooth transfers, and it's worth recommending to anyone doing personal imports or running a small business.
▶︎ We've also included a coupon link below for fee-free transfers up to €500.
Trust Built Across Time Zones
Working with Rico across the time difference, I handled emails and invoices quickly.
There were times I confirmed payment within minutes, and I like to think that, to Rico, I went from being just "some unfamiliar Japanese person" to becoming "a partner in Japan he could trust."
The Final Customs Process, and a Tariff Exemption
The final shipment was large, and it took a bit of time working through it with the customs broker.
By drawing on the EU–Japan EPA (Economic Partnership Agreement), and going through careful explanations and negotiations, we were able to have a tariff exemption applied.
This is a major step forward for keeping FUUKA's product prices affordable going forward.
Gratitude to Rico, and What Comes Next
Throughout this entire process, Rico's presence was indispensable.
Even the times I hesitated, wondering "is it okay to ask for this?", he responded warmly and cooperatively every time.
I really have nothing but gratitude.
This Is Really Where It All Starts
Through the combined effort, care, and trust of so many people, FUUKA's aromas have arrived in Japan.
May this scent reach the people who need it.
This is really where it all starts.
