Why This Blend

What it takes to make peace with the child you once were isn't logical explanation or resolution — it's a felt sense of safety: "you're allowed to be here." Vanilla and Benzoin, two sweet, warm scents, sit at the center of this blend.

Both scents are close to the kind of security your body remembers — being tucked in, being held. Benzoin is a resin used for thousands of years in meditation and ritual to calm mind and body, and layered with the sweetness of Vanilla, it creates a sense of safety that never needs words.

Neroli, a delicate, gentle floral with research suggesting positive effects on blood pressure and cortisol, quietly settles the anxieties from childhood that never found words. Lemon and Mandarin build a light, sweet base that never turns heavy. Mandarin in particular has a long history of use with children, known as one of the gentlest citrus oils there is.

Tips for Use

• Close your eyes, stand quietly, and take a few deep breaths.
• Mist above your head and beside both shoulders, and keep your eyes closed as you take in the scent.
• Use it whenever you notice yourself putting your own feelings last, or sense that the child you once were is still crying somewhere inside.
